Barbara Harrison Caban is a Swedish born artist & designer who’s family moved to the UK 1975.After teaching preschool  children in Oxford UK for 20 years Barbara became a full time artist in 1995. After the death of her first husband she moved to NYC in 2000 and since then she’s divided her time between Oxford UK & NYC USA. Barbara’s main attraction is painting people either in social gatherings or as portraits . A love for the sea as well as nature and animals  shines through her paintings of harbors,birds,dogs & flowers. Through the years she has also created art using papier mache,textiles,clay and printing. Acrylic paints are Barbara’s main medium .

Commissions are welcome whereby the client is invited to provide photographs for Barbara to work from.

The client would be asked to talk through sizing ,color choices & layout of the painting.

She  produce’s the drawing first for the client to see before applying the paints.
